I went for a colonoscopy on 3/22/13. I was required to pay an additional $225.00 deposit, in case they found polyps. The colonoscopy was completed and no polyps were found. It is now June 5, 2013 and the Endoscopy Center of the Rockies - Lafayette has refused to return the $225.00. This deposit does not have anything to do with my insurance paying for the colonoscopy, it was only in case the doctor found polyps. There is no legitimate reason for them to continue to hold my money.

I went there on the day of the procedure and told them I was sure I compromised the prep but as usual the doctor knows best and he gives a thumbs up. Turns out I compromised the prep. Imagine that. The doctor still eats and knows best. The second time I was still charged full amount but def did not compromise the prep. The work they is at best assembly line style procedures that you probably don't even need and will do you no good whatsoever but they'll call for it to be done again in a few years (doctor still has to eat , and they eat good). The entire healthcare and health insurance industries should be ashamed of themselves. Doctor always knows best.

I had a colonoscopy done yesterday at this clinic. It was the worst experience of my life. I told the doctor I was scared about the procedure before it started and he gave me the standard, " the prep is worst part'. He could not have been more wrong! The prep was nothing compared to the procedure. They told me I would forget about it due to the medication, not the case. Much to my horror, I woke up right away. The first time I felt discomfort, the nurse actually laid across me, I am guessing in effort to keep me still. The next time I felt absolutely excruciating pain, I was told to 'take a deep breath'. I was screaming in pain it hurt so bad. They are so concerned with time they forget that there is a live person they are working on! Find a place that will completely knock you out and don't risk going to a place like this. I will never forget this horrific experience. On top of everything, my paperwork actually says 'the patient tolerated the procedure well'. If screaming at the top of your lungs in pain is well, I would love to know what happens when someone does not tolerate it well. Unfortunately a polyp was found, and am waiting for the outcome. You can rest assure, any follow up will not be done at this clinic.

Had a preventative procedure performed in August of 2013 at the recommendation of my primary care physician due to family history. Endoscopy Center of the Rockies coded the procedure as diagnostic versus preventative, which left a $600 patient balance after the insurance payment was applied. Upon learning of the error I contacted their staff who assured me on multiple occassions that they would take care of it, but after several calls it wasn't taken care of until 200 days had elapsed resulting in the claim being denied. So a procedure I didn't need and should of been reimbursed at 100% now is going to cost me hundreds of dollars. Not sure they are running a legitimate and ethical practice?

This was my second time at this facility in the last 5 years. I called it my "Unpleasant Procedure" but my experience both times was performed with professionalism and in a courteous manner. I happened to be laid off just before this procedure and was able to work with the facility management in paying for my portion of the bill. Thank you everyone....I highly recommend people over 50 to have this procedure done, it is a way of prevention that can save your life.

After having to contact this center at least three times to arrange for my appointment for an endoscopy (the first two contacts reassured me they would call me back and did not) I finally was able to arrange an appointment for the procedure. When I arranged the appointment, I questioned whether or not the gastroenterologist had agreed that my procedure could be done at Community Medical Center in Lafayette. I had been told by one of the previous callers from this practice that the doctor may want me to have the procedure at the hospital instead of the clinic so a different drug could be used to put me under. This was due to another medication I was taking. The person making the appointment said that the doctor had approved my having the procedure at the center in Lafayette. However, when the doctor came to talk with me right before my procedure, she said she could not guarantee that the drug she was using would put me under enough and did I want to reschedule and go to the hospital instead where she could use a different drug. I told her that I had been told when arranging the appointment that a doctor had approved my having the procedure there instead of the hospital. She said no one had contacted her. She also seemed to discount all the reasons my doctor had for ordering the endoscopy. She said we could try the procedure and if at some point they could not get me under enough to complete it, they would stop and we would reschedule a time for me to have this done at the hospital. There were difficulties in the beginning with not having me under enough which resulted in my being alert enough to feel as though I was choking and trying to pull the scope out of my mouth. They were finally able to sedate me enough and completed the procedure. Needless to say, I did not have the most pleasant of experiences-from trying to arrange an appointment to have the procedure to the actual experience of having it. Communication and attention to detail seems to be a real problem with this practice. The only good comment I can give is that the nurses and attendants were kind, sympathetic and compassionate.

entrance after her colonoscopy. The nurses aid, stopped the wheel chair, and without watching my wife, who was still drowsy from procedure, ran around the car for my signature. My wife tried to standup and without, any aid or help, fell off here feet backward into the wheel chair. I jumped out of the car to assist my wife and all the aid did was keep on throwing a release form into my hands. The aid was more worried about getting wet, than helping the patient. So upon returning home, I thought I would alert the nursing staff that they need to train the aid better so a serious accident did not happen. I used the number they gave for problems questions/problems after the procedure. Is number goes through a switch board at other facility. I spent 15 mins, explain things over and over, and going through 3 people, I finally through to way I thought was the nurse responsible for discharging patients. She refused to id herself, and did not care to hear to hear my problem, even after I said I would not explain the problem, until she identified herself. RUN do NOT Walk from Facility. They has a monopoly and long with Boulder, on these procedures, and do not care about patients. BTW I never write reviews, for me I have better things to do. I wrote this because of the DANGER FROM THIS PHYSCIANS ORGANIZATION.
