  • What is Patient Assist?

    Patient Assist is a program developed by New Choice Health which leverages our experience to negotiate and bundle provider services resulting in discounted all-inclusive rates. Think of it as insurance for the uninsured and since we’ve really simplified the entire process for all parties Patient Assist rates are often below typical insurance rates.

  • How do I use Patient Assist?

    Once you Start Your Application a dedicated patient Care Coordinator will contact you to review your case, confirm eligibility and pricing, review special financing needs, and answer any additional questions you might have prior to completing your patient history forms and confirming your appointment.

  • Is Patient Assist an insurance program?

    No, Patient Assist is a stand-alone program designed to offer those patients in need discounted procedure pricing along with special financing options.

  • Who is eligible to participate in Patient Assist?

    The Patient Assist program is available to all uninsured patients, under-insured patients, or patients on high deductible insurance plans who wish to consume services outside of their plan. (Please note: for those patients with high deductible plans, the network of providers may be limited in some areas.)

  • What is the process like and how long does it take?

    Once you Start Your Application your dedicated Patient Care Coordinator will walk you through the entire process of choosing a provider, scheduling, organizing payment/financing, and having your procedure. The entire process can happen in as little as a week with most of our providers offering same day and next day procedures and surgeries.

  • What is included in the rate?

    Rates include all the fees typically associated with the specific medical procedure. For surgeries, the rate includes the surgeon’s fee, anesthesiology fee, facility fee, a consult, a follow-up, and any implant and pathology fees. GI procedures include the physician’s fee, anesthesiology fee, facility fee, pathology fees, and a consult if you are required to have one.

  • What is NOT included in the rate?

    Rates do not include any other tests required as a follow-up or needed for diagnosis. However, we may be able to assist you with locating and receiving quotes from fair-priced certified providers for these tests. While surgeries include 1-3 post-op visits within 90 days, GI procedure rates do not include any post-procedure visits.

  • What is the refund policy if I decide to cancel?

    Cancellations for a full refund are accepted up to 2 business days prior to your appointment. You will be charged all provider cancellation fees that are incurred when cancelling within 2 business days prior to your appointment plus an administrative fee. If you do not reschedule or cancel there is a $500 fee for not showing up for a scheduled appointment plus any cancellation fees from the providers.
