My husband had surgery here post Covid. Scheduled for 10am, didn't even start until approx 2:15pm! No one but the patient is allowed in. No one called to inform me what was going on until my husband asked them to do so. We are in our 60's, I have RA, and we live 50 miles from facility. So, family is expected to wait in the parking lot! Unacceptable! I will mention that I am a retired RN, and in my day, you were taught total patient care!! That includes family members well being. Worst experience of my life!! These days no one gives a hoot! Bottom line in light of Covid, they started doing elective surgeries simply because they have had stressed pocketbooks! No care for what the patient or family is going through. They should have a designated area for family and hire cleaning to be done following departure. Not to mention they never called to inform me of his status, I did all the calling. My last call in was 5:15, and phones were shiut off! BS! I watched staff get in their cars and leave for the day...nurses and docs! NO CALL FROM INSIDE! He finally appeared at the discharge exit at 5:27pm i get more respect at the Vet! There's more, but no one gives a crap so I won't waste my time any further. NEVER GOING BACK, and I suggest anyone reading this think twice before considering to go to Lakeshore Surgicare!

My mother had to have surgery here a couple years ago. Due to covid regulations that they had to follow, I did have to wait in the parking lot. I understood this and they kept me informed along the whole process. The staff treated her great and they did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend this facility!
