I was shocked today when I got a $1,800 bill for an 18 minute knee MRI. My insurance is paying $900 plus but my share is $1800. I was preauthorized and sure did not expect this kind of bill since everyone I had talked to said an MRI would be around $1.000 but did not think it would be 3 times the price!
