Had a procedure done on my son to fix the enamel on his baby teeth...hes three years old. Was told the entire operation would be covered 80% by my dental insurance, As it turns out, this was not entirely true, To have four baby teeth pretty much just painted white and sealed, the dentist charged 6500, the anesthesiologist charged 1300, and the surgery center charged 6350. To date my insurance cover 5500 to the dentist and said they will not be paying anymore. My health insurance will not cover anything for a dental procedure. I was told before hand all I would have to pay would be 20% plus the cost of anesthesia. I ended up paying 1100+1300+6350=8750! The procedure took less than an hour and the surgery center chared about 100 dollar a minute! Wish they would havve been more upfront about their pricing and told me this will more than max out your sons insurance. I never would have had this done if I knew I'd be out almost 9000 bucks for teeth he will only have for two more years. Awesome experience all around. The staff was very nice and accomodating.
